Academic Statement

I am a person who has always had a profound interest in analytical approaches. As a child, I gravitated toward the arts for their application of hidden patterns, repetition, and layers. I could always break down an art assignment into smaller pieces and obtain solutions to create a piece of art. However, I was more interested in the harmony of art using color theory. I have a lot of technical experience with the foundation of colors, as I have studied and experimented with the symbolic and practical use of pigments. In addition, my artwork has received multiple awards, such as the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and has been hung in public buildings - Schneider Hall at the University of Louisville. My goal is to pursue a career that combines my artistic abilities with mathematical components.
